SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tooth cutting using electric arcs and wire-electrode machine tool at operating voltages of 57-62 V and currents of 0.4-0.6 A, discharge-circuit capacitance of 1-2 μF, and wire feed speed of 15-20 mm/s, ratio of numeric values of short-circuit current and discharge-circuit capacitance being 0.4-0.6; roller is free to turn through 360 deg. in the course of tooth cutting.
EFFECT: enhanced productivity and piercing roller tooth cutting quality.
