FIELD: receiving and decoding data from different users in code-division multiple access communication systems.

SUBSTANCE: using autoregressive smoothing of relaxed solutions concerning reliability of receiving code characters by multiple-user detector, their next joint iterative decoding involving recovery of whole code word, autoregressive smoothing of recovered relaxed solutions followed by relaxed limiting of hyperbolic tangent functions, as well as evaluation of complex envelope at each iteration make it possible to enhance quality of reception in code-division multiple access channel, that is to enhance noise immunity of receiver and capacity of communication system, as well as to reduce cost of base station in CDMA channel.

EFFECT: enhanced noise immunity of communication system signal receiver.
