FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has control block for delivering control signal, cardiac stimulation means for stimulating heart tissues in response to control signal, means for extracting cardiographic data and transmitting it to control unit, and power supply source for producing excitation power. The control unit issues control signal based on cardiographic data. The power supply source is biological fuel element, using biological fuel and blood oxygen and/or body fluids. The biological fuel element has anode and cathode. Biological fuel oxydase and mediator substance are immobilized on the cathode. Blood and/or body fluid are used as electrolyte solution. The biological fuel element is attached to catheter end and implanted into the heart. Then the catheter is removed.
EFFECT: high cardiostimulator reliability; wide range of functional applications in various electrostimulation systems.
