FIELD: biotechnology and environment control; use of microorganisms for intensification of microbe processes in anthropogenesic objects.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method reduces emission of methane. Proposed method consists in introduction of mixture of two accumulating cultures of methanetrophic bacteria obtained at cultivation of mixture of suspension covering the soil of ground area and mineral medium in flasks with gas phase containing methane at temperature of 20°C continued for a month and at temperature of 10-15°C continued for two months. Content of flasks is used as inoculate for resifting into flasks of larger volume. Accumulating cultures grown in these flasks are used as inoculate for seeding in fermenters working in mode of periodic cultivation at temperatures of 15 and 20°C at constant blowing of medium by methane-air mixture. After concentration of cells reaches 108 per ml of medium, accumulating cultures are mixed in equal volumes, centrifuged and sediment is suspended in 1 l of water; concentrate thus obtained is diluted with water and is added to freshly poured soil used for forming layer covering solid waste area or dump by making trenches, 5 to 10 cm deep into which concentrate is poured and trench is covered with layer of soil.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability.
