FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for synthesis of alkylene carbonate. Method involves interaction of alkylene oxide with carbon dioxide in the presence of catalyst in reactor to prepare alkylene carbonate-containing reaction mixture in reactor. Reactor is connected with a heat-exchange channel by pipelines system wherein a channel is located at the process side and forms circulation contour. Method involves additional passing a technological liquid during and after reaction through a circulation contour including reactor and heat-exchanger channel located at the process side during passing the heat-exchange medium with temperature 140-200°C through a heat-exchanger channel located in heat-exchange side and with maintaining temperature into a heat-exchanger channel located at the process side in the range 135-200°C. Invention provides simplifying process and increasing working period of equipment in the required regiment.
