FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modifying agents used in manufacturing cast iron and aluminum alloys. Proposed modifying mixture contains additionally soda ash in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: barium carbonate, 70-80; boric acid, 10-17, and soda ash, 8-15. Invention provides enhancing physicochemical properties of metal and to expand exploitation capacity of the modifying mixture.
EFFECT: improved properties of modifying mixture.
