FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for centrifugal casting of bimetal iron blanks, for instance, work rolls with working layer of cast iron modified by magnesium. Proposed flux contains, mass %: soda ash (Na2CO3) 3-8; borax (Na2B4O7) 10-12; spar (CaF2) 12-17; limestone (CaO) 8-12; calcium borate (CaO·B2O3) 35-40 and impure sodium dicilicate-the rest. Flux features wide temperature crystallization range, sufficient plasticity, increased density and surface tension.
EFFECT: reduced reject caused by inweldability of two layers of metal, increased hardness of inner zones of working layer of work roll.
