FIELD: underground gasification of coal beds.
SUBSTANCE: method includes forcing air into one of wells, drilled to coal formation, ignition of the latter in face of other well and extraction of coal combustion products from it during movement of face combustion source from gas-draining well to blowing well, towards air flow filtered along coal formation. During breakthrough of first pair of wells, composition of combustion products from gas-draining well and oxygen balance in them are periodically determined. On basis of growing volume of combustion products and oxygen balance in them, movement of displacing breakthrough combustion source towards blow well is monitored.
EFFECT: creation of engineering methods for controlling and monitoring process of fire filtration breakthrough of wells.
