MAGNETIC SHOCK ABSORBER Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC F16F6/00

Abstract RU 2298118 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed magnetic shock absorber has cylindrical housing closed by covers from both sides. Housing and covers are made of magnetic material. One of covers is provided with attachment head, and rod with attachment head on outer end is fitted in hole of other cover. Novelty is that fitted inside cylindrical housing are : piston connected with rod and made in form of round magnetic plate with calibrated channels, longitudinal axis of each channels being parallel to longitudinal axis of piston, fixed round magnetic plate bolted to cover with attachment head several movable round magnetic plates of equal design installed between piston and fixed round magnetic plate, each provided with calibrated through channels whose axes parallel to longitudinal axis of shock absorber. Vector of magnetic induction of each round magnetic plate coincides with longitudinal axis of shock absorber. Each of near round magnetic plates is turned to each other by like poles.

EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life, provision of possibility of damping heavier forces.
