FIELD: medicine, otorhinolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to carry out infrared (IR) spectrometry of saliva sampled on an empty stomach to detect the values of IR radiation permeability ranged 1600-1533 cm-1, 3500-3200 cm-1 and 1127-1057 cm-1, and then it is important calculate an average coefficient of IR radiation permeability and at its value being above 31.15 ranged 1600-1533 cm-1, above 12.6 ranged 3500-3200 cm-1 and below 59.96 ranged 1127-1057 cm-1, correspondingly, one should establish the indication to tonsillectomy. Due to noninvasiveness of the method suggested one should increase objectivity in detecting the indication to tonsillectomy in such patients.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection.
