SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology and oncology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of chronic tonsillitis and squamous cell carcinoma of pharynx. For this purpose, Raman-fluorescence spectroscopy is used to obtain spectral characteristics of palatine tonsillar tissue and patient's pharynx. Spectra are processed by main components method, by projection on latent structures in combination with linear discriminant analysis; Savitzky—Golay method and reference line correction using asymmetric least squares. Most informative Raman scattering strips are identified, the main and additional peaks are used to differentiate the patient's chronic tonsillitis of the compensated, decompensated form or squamous cell carcinoma of the pharynx.

EFFECT: invention enables diagnosing chronic tonsillitis and squamous cell carcinoma of the pharynx and evaluating the clinical effectiveness of the dynamics in these diseases.
