FIELD: electrical engineering; circuit-opening devices, for instance domestic and industrial wall-mounted switches.

SUBSTANCE: proposed wall-mounted switch has case with switching device and terminals for connecting device contacts to supply mains and to load, device control component in the form of keys, and safety cover. Switch is provided with internal lighting unit to facilitate its finding in dark locations that has series-interconnected light-emitting diodes connected through protective and limiting module to switch terminals. Switch keys and/or cover are made of translucent material. Light-emitting diodes are disposed on case for turning and locking in position by means of hold-down clamps; they are installed in the latter for longitudinal displacement. Provision is made for controlling surface lighting and brightness, for its good sideways visibility, and for dispensing with making holes in cover and/or in switch keys.

EFFECT: facilitated manufacture and assembly, enhanced ergonomic and operating characteristics of switch.
