SUBSTANCE: proposed internally illuminated wall-mounted switch that can be used as switch-and-light unit has shroud accommodating switching device, control device for the latter in the form of key, light-emitting components in the form of direct light-emitting diodes, and shielding cover with hole in its bottom part for diode emission output disposed so that light beam is directed to bottom end; this hole is covered with insert in the form of movable thin-sheet iris; light-emitting diodes are disposed above upper edge of hole.
