SUBSTANCE: method and device for transferring user data from video decoder to video decoder, while user data may be embedded into encoded video signal, generated by aforementioned video decoder, includes (at coder side) stage (202) of insertion of filling packets into given position in encoded video signal, (at decoder side) stage (204) of analysis for finding and counting amount of filling packets at given position in encoded video signal. At coder side, determined from user data by means of correspondence table is amount of filling packets (201), and at decoder side aforementioned amount of filling packets is used for producing user data (205) by means of correspondence table.
EFFECT: transfer of user data with usage of low amount of bits at level of plane of video object of encoded video signal.
