FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method and the device for coding of numeral video sequence in which the instructions of parametre of quantisation (QP) stand out in the coded bit stream for use at decoding is offered. The instructions of the information concerning QP, are provided with input of SQP value - parametre of quantisation of level of sequence. In particular, instead of coding of terrain clearance values of parametres of quantisation of the image/section, the instructions of difference SQP between parametre of quantisation SQP of level of sequence and QP images/sections stand out. Differential value then is applied in the corresponding decoder to restoration of QP image/section.
EFFECT: elimination of necessity of transmission of the full QP value for each image that allows transmitting statistically smaller differential value and provides decrease in velocity of data transmission in bits.
