FIELD: processes of working materials in automatic machine tools and in automatic lines.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of registering acoustic emission signal passed through acoustic tract at cutting process; forming signal concerning to cutting tool wear degree; feeding such signal to computing center for decomposing signal passing through said center by power spectrum; evaluating wear degree or non-wear degree of tip part of cutting tool according to its oscillation power in order to judge state of cutting tool; preliminarily learning acoustic tract by comparing oscillation values at each frequency with power spectrum value of wave receiver at generating oscillation to tip of cutting tool; determining scaling coefficient as relation of power of generated signal to power of signal taken from resonator; then in order to receive regenerated signal of tool tip oscillation at cutting process, multiplying scaling coefficient by value of power of signal taken from resonator for each component of spectrum of oscillation power of actuating organ.

EFFECT: improved accuracy and stability of signal.
