SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for analysing acoustic emission. The method of analysing vibrations or acoustic analysis of a component, workpiece and/or tool for determining reliability of operation and/or quality of processing, which includes detecting and processing vibrations arising during use and/or monitoring of the component, workpiece and/or tool. The method includes detecting and analysing vibrations or sounds, recording the vibration spectrum which includes said vibrations or sounds to form multidimensional data in at least three-dimensional space with coordinates selected from: time, frequency of vibrations or sound, amplitude of vibrations or sound. The data are subjected to multidimensional, particularly three-dimensional, analysis, which includes comparing said multidimensional data with reference data to determine deviation between said data, and the vibration spectrum is recorded and/or analysed at high-frequency, particularly in a frequency range from 200 kHz to at least 100 MHz.

EFFECT: analysis of acoustic emission continuously and in real time.
