SUBSTANCE: method for determining life parameters of moving and rotating cutting tool comprises steps of performing cutting process; reading acoustic emission signal of wave receiver mounted on body of spindle assembly by means of piezoelectric pickup; forming continuous signal for evaluating wear degree of cutting tool; before starting cutting process, determining specific frequencies corresponding to intensive wear degree of cutting tool; according to value of acoustic emission signal at specific frequencies judging wear degree of cutting tool.

EFFECT: enlarged range of using method due to possibility of taking acoustic emission signal of moving and rotating cutting tool.
