FIELD: processes and equipment for working metals by cutting, working holes.

SUBSTANCE: boring tool includes working portion having cutting tip and made with possibility of securing to stem portion having basic part for mounting working portion and body joined with it. Said body includes cavity for placing damping device having supporting hollow rod in boundary portions of which supporting washers to which elastic members are secured are fixed. In mean portion of supporting hollow rod damping member is mounted with possibility of motion. Ends of said damping member are joined to elastic members. One boundary portion of supporting hollow rod is fixed in body and its other boundary portion is arranged in basic part. In order to enhance damping capability, damping member is joined to mean portion of supporting hollow rod by means of threaded joint. In recesses of thread profile of mean portion of supporting hollow rod there is through helical groove. Ends of damping member joined with elastic members are stepped ones.

EFFECT: improved damping capability.
