SUBSTANCE: the identification system of a rifled firearm has a marking element on the inner surface of the rifled barrel in the form of a land between the adjacent rifles, whose width differs from the width of the rest lands by 2.8 to 5.7 per cent of the land width determined as the difference of the length of the firearm barrel circumference and the overall width of the rifles divided by the number of lands. The system has a striker of the preset shape and a lug on the case extractor with the preset shape and distance from the barrel axis.
EFFECT: provided identification of the weapon both by bullet and by empty case.
