FIELD: test technique.
SUBSTANCE: stress concentrator is made onto external surface of tube and tube is loaded by internal pressure. Stress concentrator is made in form of axial notch of preset length at external surface of tube and after that the tube is subject to cooling to minimal temperature of exploitation. Then tube is loaded with internal pressure till moment of touching off of axial notch and value of coefficient of intensity is found from formula. Value of coefficient of intensity of stresses is compared with reference vale and decision on serviceability of tube to exploitation is made on base of results of comparison.
EFFECT: prolonged service life.
