FIELD: shipbuilding; high-speed craft water-jet propellers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed water scoop has water conduit with outlet and inlet holes and with pipe line mounted over its perimeter and provided with porous members. This pipe line is connected with equipment for obtaining working medium. Equipment is provided with transonic jet apparatus-mixer-pump set used as mixer. Water and gas (vapor, air) are fed to this apparatus and homogeneous gas-and-water or vapor-and-water two-phase mixture formed in mixer is used as working medium. Content of gas (air, vapor) in this mixture is 20-90%. First inlet of apparatus is connected with water source (sea water, for example) by means of pipeline fitted with metering unit. Second inlet of apparatus is connected with gas or air (vapor) source by means of pipe line fitted with metering unit. Two-phase mixture from apparatus outlet is fed via autonomous pipe lines to pipe line provided with porous members which runs along outer plating of water scoop. Lower part of pipe line running to inlet hole of water conduit may be provided with porous members below waterline when ship is hovering. Pipe line running along outer plating of water scoop may be provided with porous members between ship's bottom and waterlines when ship is hovering. Provision is made for overcoming the hump of resistance.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of propeller; increased running speed; reduction of time of delivery of cargo and passengers to port of destination.
