FIELD: agriculture, in particular, pre-sowing treatment of cotton plant seeds.

SUBSTANCE: method involves treating cotton plant seeds with aqueous solution of natural bischofite mineral brine and 10-20%-solution of hydrochloric acid used in the following parts, wt%: brine of natural bischofite mineral having density of 1.10-1.30 g/cm³ - 40-60, 10-20%-solution of hydrochloric acid 20-30, water the balance, with solution being used at temperature of 20-25 C; simultaneously exposing seeds to electric current of 0.2-0.5 A/cm² density during 10-30 min.

EFFECT: stable and uniform development of cotton sprouts and improved quality of fibers.
