METHOD FOR GROWING OF STURGEON FISH IN PONDS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A01K61/00 

FIELD: commercial fishery, in particular, pond fishery.

SUBSTANCE: method involves settling fishes in ponds; growing young fishes and feeding during season according to periods; performing growing of this year's brood and commercial fishes in one and the same ponds, each having area of 0.05-0.1 hectare, sides ratio of 2:5, inner steep slopes of dams of 1:0.5 and depth of 2 m; setting feeding places on pond bottom, near water outlets, said feeding places being formed as concrete plates or concrete paths and fresh fish of Atherina mochon pontica Eichwald kind being used as feed; providing feeding during three periods: duration of first period is 5-7%, duration of second period is 3-6%, and duration of third period is 87-92%. During first period, this year's fishes are fed with Atherina mochon pontica Eichwald kind fish in the form of farce, during second period - in the form of crushed fish, and during third period, when fish under growing process riches weight of 20 g, said feed fish is dispensed in the form of whole fishes. This year's fishes are fed during five months, from June to October, and commercial sturgeon fishes are fed during seven months, from April to October. During wintering, this year's fishes and two-year fishes are settled in the same growing ponds at density of 5-10 t/hectare, vegetation period of this year's fishes is 130-140 days, and vegetation period of commercial sturgeon fishes is 200-220 days.

EFFECT: intensified growing of sturgeon fishes and increased fish productivity.
