FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely die sets of bending machines with clamping attachment.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for holding clamping attachment includes movable jaw with clamping portion that is made with possibility of approaching to peripheral impression of die set and removing from it. Clamping portion of movable jaw and peripheral impression of die set have concave profiles that may surround at opposite sides elongated part to be bent. Movable jaw of clamping attachment has hinged end and holding end arranged in front of hinged end. The last is arranged under elongated part subjected to bending. Hinged end is made with possibility of rotation around axis normal relative to rotation axis of die set and it provides motion of clamping portion of movable jaw of clamping attachment from open position remote from elongated part to its closed position and vice versa. Holding apparatus is made with possibility of gripping holding end of movable jaw and of holding movable jaw in closed position.

EFFECT: reduced surface area for arranging working equipment, improved reliability of automatic clamping of elongated part.
