FIELD: gasification of minerals, for instance for producing mixtures of combustible gases, particularly in-situ underground coal bed gasification, as well as thermal oil and slate deposit treatment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves injecting air blow in ignition well in amount of 30-100 nm3/hour per 1 m2 of exposed coal surface and igniting thereof. Coal face is penetrated in ignition well for the full coal bed thickness. Ignition moment is determined from rapid pressure rise at well head.
EFFECT: increased field of application, decreased costs and increased reliability of coal bed ignition in bed.
