FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises producing the gear belt from vulcanized elastomer, setting tension member inside the elastomer, and producing the cord shaped into a spiral and made of at lest one thread composed of carbon fiber. The cord is coated with a composition cord impregnating compound. The elasticity modulus of the cord impregnating compound is determined from the formula presented.
EFFECT: reduced angular vibration.
