FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a driven toothed belt. The belt (1) comprises a body (2) made from elastomer material, teeth (4) covered by fabric (5) and a variety of reinforcing inserts (3). The elastomer material contains fibres (6) which pass in the direction in essence perpendicular to the reinforcing inserts and parallel to the surface formed by the reinforcing inserts' axes. The belt is used in systems where it is in contact with oil or with oil mixed with fuel.
EFFECT: improved mechanical properties and wear resistance as well as longer service life of a belt.
