FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: toothed belt consists of elastomer base, of teeth formed with belt base, of casing located along edge surface of teeth and of at lest one cord enclosed inside above said base and having certain diametre. Thickness of compressed casing is within the range from more, than 0.5 to 0.8 mm. For at least one cord and the above said casing ratio of the above said diametre of cord to the above said casing is less, than 1.8. Diametre of cord and thickness of the casing define visual position of calculated line (PLD) of the belt as equal to 1.2 mm or less. Also, diametre of cord exceeds 0.85 mm or ratio of cord diametre to thickness of the casing is less, than 1.5, or both.

EFFECT: improved operational properties of belt.
