FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of alkyl-ortho-nitrophenols. Invention describes a method for synthesis of alkyl-ortho-nitrophenols of the general formula: , wherein 1) R means hydrogen atom (H); R' means H; 2) R means H; R' means CH3; 3) R means CH; R' means H. Method is carried out by cyclization of isonitro-β-diketones with ketones followed by oxidation of formed nitrosophenols with hydrogen peroxide at temperature 30-40°C without their isolation. Method provides synthesis of alkyl-ortho-nitrophenols with required position of alkyl groups. Synthesized compounds can be used as semifinished substances in organic synthesis and analytical reagents.
