FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to chemistry of organic peroxides, ketone derivatives, specifically a method of producing bridge 1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes, and specifically substituted 2,3,5,6-tetraoxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptanes, which can be used in polymer chemistry, as well as in medicine and pharmacology. The method involves producing substituted 2,3,5,6-tetraoxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptanes of general formula I: where R=adamantyl, unsubstituted or substituted benzyl, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C6 alkyl, wherein the substitutes can be COOEt, or a CH2=CH group; R1=lower alkyl or hydrogen; R2=methyl or ethyl, by reacting corresponding β-diketones with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of an acid catalyst in the medium of an organic solvent, which is characterised by that the acid catalyst used is ion-exchange resin Amberlyst-15 in amount of 450-800 g per mole of β-diketone, and the organic solvent used is methylene chloride or chloroform and the process is carried out in molar ratio β-diketone: hydrogen peroxide of 1:3-5. The bridge 1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes are obtained selectively and with good output ranging from 60 to 80%.

EFFECT: method simplifies and reduces the cost of the process by enabling reuse of the catalyst.
