FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of derivative of 2-(6-substituted-1,3-dioxane-4-yl)-acetic acid of the formula (1): wherein each R1, R2 and R3 represents independently (C1-C4)-alkyl group, or wherein R1 and R2 in common with carbon atom to which they are bound form 5- or 6-membered cycloalkyl, and wherein Y represents RA-CO- wherein RA is chosen from alkyl group or aryl with 1-12 carbon atoms, its corresponding derivative of 2-(6-substituted-4-yl)-acetic acid of the formula (2): wherein R1, R2 and R3 are given above, and wherein X represents halogen atom. Method is carried out in the presence of an interphase catalyst and oxidizing agent and involves using quaternary phosphonium ion of the formula (3): wherein each R4, R5, R6 and R7 represents alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl with 1-12 carbon atoms as an interphase catalyst and ion of the formula (4): OY- (4) wherein Y is given above is used as an oxidizing agent and wherein RA, R4, R5, R6 and R7 in case if R4, R5, R6 and R7 represent aryl or aralkyl can be substituted with substitutes chosen from group consisting of halogen atoms, alkoxy-group with 1-5 carbon atoms, alkyl with 1-6 carbon atoms or nitro-group.
