FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed double-acting shock absorber contains energy-absorbing elastic members and reverser. Energy-absorbing elastic members are made in form of outer and inner ring tapered springs. Outer surfaces of inner ring tapered springs and inner surfaces of outer ring tapered springs are made conical. Ring tapered springs are assembled coaxially into pack for interaction in pairs with each other along said conical surfaces made with angle of taper greater than angle of friction of material of ring tapered springs. Reverser consists of housing installed inside said pack of ring tapered springs with guaranteed clearance greater than radial deformation of inner ring tapered springs, and cylinder arranged inside housing. Housing and cylinder are provided with radial stops arranged in different longitudinal planes for relative displacement and engagement with one of end faces of pack whose other end engages with movable stop ring installed at opposite end of housing and thrusting against spherical surface of radial stops of rod arranged in plane of said cylinder for displacement in its longitudinal slots under action of additional extensible stops arranged on end of rod and held by screw plug, and in longitudinal slots of housing. Rod thrust against bead of step bearing s of spherical traction member. Other spherical traction member is installed on cylinder at opposite side of shock absorber.

EFFECT: provision of double action of shock absorber.
