FIELD: military equipment, in particular, weapon in which grenades (projectiles) are used whose flight is fin-stabilized in the trajectory.
SUBSTANCE: at firing by a fin-stabilized grenade accelerated by a bursting engine in the mortar barrel and by a jet engine in the trajectory the grenade in the trajectory is accelerated by a force equal to the air aerodynamic dray to its flight in the absence of wind, and the acceleration is finished at a range equal to on somewhat exceeding the accurate firing range. The mortar construction provides for realization of the method for firing.
EFFECT: provided a high accuracy of fire from a simple and cheap mortar, one-time use inclusive, due to imparting to the grenade of an ability to automatically compensate for the wind influence on its flight, increased accurate firing range without any increase of the mortar muzzle velocity.
