FIELD: the invention refers to devices for measuring the level of free-flowing material.

SUBSTANCE: the level meter has a sounding lead 1 on a cable 2 fixed on a drum 3 connected with an electrical engine E and a block for control of the level meter 4 which has a control element CE, a current sensor CS, a current integrator CI, a threshold arrangement TA, a loading element R in the circuit of the winding of the armature of the engine and an indicator of the level of the free-flowing material I. At that the current sensor CS is installed in-series with the winding of the armature of the engine E and is connected with one of the outputs with the input of the threshold arrangement TA, and with the other - with the signal input of the current integrator CI. The threshold arrangement TA is installed in-series with the control element CE and with the output is connected with the control input of the current integrator CI, whose output is connected to the input of the level indicator I.

EFFECT: increases accuracy of measurements due to integration of a used signal, increases reliability of the device due to simplification of the mechanical part of the construction and expansion of the arsenal of means of measuring of the level.
