FIELD: manufacturing processes, namely apparatuses for protecting cutting tools, namely jackets for saw webs.
SUBSTANCE: jacket includes casing for cutting edges with clamping jaws and holder in the form of flange. Said casing is in the form of one-piece horseshoe like shape made of polymeric material. Casing is provided with horseshoe like lock having edges for fixing web by means of clamping jaws and made of the same polymeric material. Flange is formed on end edge of lock. Other edge of lock through transition constriction is joined with one of clamping jaws. Thickness of transition constriction is less than thickness values of horseshoe like profiles of lock and casing. Spacing from lock bottom till place of its jointing with clamping jaw is equal to distance from casing bottom till said joining place or exceeds such distance. Spacing between inner walls of lock edges is less than summed values of casing width and length of transition constriction. The last is formed according to condition of releasing casing from lock.
EFFECT: possibility for comfortable use of jacket, improved reliability of jacket fixation.
