FIELD: production of copper alloys.
SUBSTANCE: proposed copper alloy contains 1.2-2.7% of cobalt; 0.3-0.7% of beryllium; 0.01-0.5% of zirconium; 0.005-0.2% of magnesium and/or iron and maximum 0.15% of at least one element from the group including niobium, tantalum, vanadium, hafnium, manganese, titanium and cerium. The residue is copper with admixtures and technological additives. This alloy is used for manufacture of casting molds for side guards of belt-type tapping units.
EFFECT: high wear resistance to softening and loss of strength; high resistance to cracking in T-groove.
