FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a copper-zinc alloy that can be used for manufacturing bearings, engine parts, synchronizer rings, electrically conductive components, for example contacts. The alloy contains, wt.%: Cu 62.5-67, Sn 0.25-1.0, Si 0.015-0.15, at least two silicide forming elements of a group of Mn, Fe, Ni and Al, 0.15% each and 0.6% in total, Pb no more than 0.1%, Zn and unavoidable impurities are the rest.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a high-strength alloy with a capability of cold molding, suitable for manufacturing electrically conductive components.
