FIELD: manufacture of woven belt-type devices, such as endless sieve belt for papermaking and press-pate machines.
SUBSTANCE: woven belt-type device has connection part 7a', 7b' provided on at least one end of woven belt 20', 20" which may be connected through detachable connection means 9 to other connection part 7b', 7a' of the same or other woven belt. Certain number of predetermined longitudinal threads 2', 2" are extracted from web 20' along belt cut 4', 4" corresponding to respective end of woven belt. Cuts 4', 4" of longitudinal threads 2', 2" extracted from at least one side of woven belt 20', 20" adjoin to zone immediately before connection part 7a', 7b' so as to define support 10', 10" for protecting connection parts 7a', 7b' during movement of woven belt over working surface. Extracted cuts 4' of longitudinal threads 2' are unwoven around transverse threads 11', 12' and are inserted back into belt.
EFFECT: increased strength of belt owing to reliable protection of connection part.
