FIELD: electrical engineering; commutator motors provided with additional commutation improving device.
SUBSTANCE: proposed DC motor brush gear has commutator with alternating conducting and insulating segments as well as reverse-polarity brushes contacting the latter and commutation improvement unit. The latter is built around transistors, bases of two transistors with different polarity of conductivity p-n-p and n-p-n being connected to each conducting segment; collectors of these transistors are interconnected and connected to motor armature winding and emitter of each transistor is connected through resistor to base and to slip ring mounted on motor shaft. Brushes are disposed on geometric neutral and connected to power supply through controlled voltage divider.
EFFECT: enhanced service life of brush gear due to reduced armature current and voltage.
