FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves filtering, digitizing electric cardiac signal in time with threshold levels being formed and carrying out comparison of each discrete electric cardiac signal (ECS) reading with these levels. To create threshold levels, time window is entered which is a little bit wider than ST-segment duration. This window is moved along time axis with step equal to one digitization interval. Every following generated power readout is added at each sampling step and total power of new n readouts large set is repeatedly determined. The obtained result is compared to the previous one. Their minimum and mean square deviation MSD are saved. The operations are repeated Q times, where Q≥20, a set of Q MSD values is saved in memory and mean value of MSDm is determined. Threshold levels equal to +M MSDm and -M MSDm, are formed where M≥3. Every following MSD value is added at each cardiac cycle taken from new set of Q MSDm values. New MSD is calculated and new threshold levels are built. Device design operating in real-time mode is also described.

EFFECT: high reliability in determining cardiac cycle beginning.
