FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves filtering continuous electric cardiosignal and representing it as a set of discrete readings. Readings magnitudes are summed up in all electrocardiogram leads. Threshold level is formed and the discrete readings are compared to the threshold value. R-R intervals are detected in this way. An R-R interval is divided into N parts so that the N-th interval value belonging to interval Ri-Ri+1 is subtracted from discrete reading Ri+1 value and the so obtained electric cardiosignal discrete reading value is found to be the i-th cardiac cycle start. Cardiac cycle start is detected by means of device having accumulating adder unit, having input connected to analog output and output connected to the second input of comparator, trigger, OR-gate, circuit for detecting anterior pulse front, the first and the second registers, divider and adder. The trigger forms R-R interval duration. The first and the second registers store N-number and R-R interval duration codes, respectively. The divider is applied for dividing R-R interval duration value code by N-number code. The adder subtracts the N-th interval value belonging to interval Ri-Ri+1 from discrete reading Ri+1 value. The discrete cardiosignal reading value obtained in output is treated as the i-th cardiac cycle start.
EFFECT: high accuracy in detecting cardiac cycle start.
