FIELD: chemical industry, heat engineering, in particular, nuclear power station equipment, technology for packing lids of chambers and hatches of heat-exchange devices and high pressure vessels.

SUBSTANCE: packing unit contains body, lid, insert and bolts; on internal wall of heat-exchange device chamber a circular recess is made, which in its upper part is made in form of a reversed cone, lower side of the recess is made parallel to packing surface of the chamber, on side surface of circular recess, evenly around a circle, through apertures are made for bolts, blocks are positioned evenly around the circle in the circular recess, and wedges are placed under the blocks, in which wedges the surface interacting with immoveable blocks is made parallel to packing plane of chamber, and opposite surface is inclined, having the same inclination angle as the inclined clamp of chamber lid, in the bodies of wedges apertures are made, matching apertures on side surface of the circular recess of heat-exchange device, through which bolts are driven, which bolts during interaction with wedges press down the lid of chamber, packing the insert.

EFFECT: increased reliability of packing of heat-exchange device chamber or high pressure vessel with simultaneously decreased dimensions of heat-exchange device chamber or high pressure vessel in diametric direction.
