FIELD: non-metallic packing materials, possible use for sealing structural elements working in contact with air environment and aviation fuel and oil.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing packing material includes applying poly-sulfide hermetic to reinforcing element and vulcanization of resulting material. Basalt staple fiber or cellulose fiber is additionally injected into hermetic in amount of 15-30 mass shares for 100 mass shares of hermetic.
EFFECT: creation of packing material for aviation structures, enduring increased loads during operation, with its possible use for packing gaps more than 4 mm thick, increased reliability of operation of packed structures.
