FIELD: mechanical engineering; sealing facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed sealing tape consists of interconnected laminated graphite structure in form of expanded graphite foil and reinforcement member in form of metal foil with alternating corrugations made in metal foil. Reinforcement member is placed between layers of expanded graphite foil and is fixed by binder. Width of expanded graphite foil coincides with width of reinforcement member foil, and alternating corrugations are formed by passing plain initial tape between straight-tooth spur wheels and are directed crosswise the tape. Alternating corrugations decrease length of plain initial tape by 10% minimum. EFFECT: improved reliability of sealing. 11 cl, 3 dwg
