FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, veterinary science, more particular, sanitary handling of animals.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has sheep pen provided with entrance gate and positioned before sheep bath, guiding races, bath with disinfecting solution and pen adapted for bathed sheep and for sheep used as bait, said pen being equipped with discharge gate. Pen positioned before bath has movable wall fixed on self-propelled cart positioned on railway and furnished with reversible electric drive. Pen positioned before bath is connected to bath through curved zigzag-shaped races. There are three baths in races, namely, bath with disinfecting solution level of 5-10 cm and two baths with disinfecting solution level of 15-20 cm. Cork platforms are located at the end of races by means of pivot joints. Cork platforms are equipped with cork extensions attached thereto by pivot joints. Platforms and extensions are placed within disinfecting solution at 15-20 cm depth from its upper level and are adapted for forming continuation of race floor. Platforms and extensions are positioned so as to continuously lower sheep into disinfecting solution of bath for full bathing thereof. There is ramp at bath exit. Platforms and extensions are held in horizontal position with the use of cable, hooks and bracket.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of sheep bathing process.
