FIELD: means for disintegration of pasty materials, in particular paints, may be used in bead mill constructions adapted for preparing of paints by disintegration and mixing of their components.

SUBSTANCE: operating cylinder for bead mill has outer and inner enclosures, base and cover, as well as valve system, one of valves being designed for feeding of coolant into space between outer and inner enclosures, and other valve being designed for feeding of paint components into inner enclosure. There are openings in cover adapted for placing of rotor and for discharge of product. Inner enclosure is equipped with lining defined by annular members made from high elasticity material. There are protrusions at one end of annular members and mated slots at other end of annular members. There is gap between outer surface of annular members and adjacent surface of inner enclosure of bead mill, said gap being ▵₃≤0.5(▵_rub-▵_encl), where ▵_rub is deformation of outer surface of rubber member at operating temperature; ▵_encl is deformation of inner enclosure of mill at operating temperature.

EFFECT: increased wear resistance and service life of operating cylinder for bead mill.
