SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying heat from at least one heater in at least one formation section; performing heat transfer from one or more heaters to formation section to provide pyrolysis of at least some hydrocarbons within the section. Heat amount to be supplied to heated well bore area adjacent the selected section is less than that to be supplied to other well bore areas of the formation section to limit temperature and inhibit coke formation in selected well bore area or in neighboring areas. After that at least some hydrocarbons are produced through the selected heater well bore area.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
