FIELD: radio engineering, possible use in radio communication systems with several transmitting and receiving antennas.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the method, a stream of modulation symbols is generated, divided onto packets with N modulation symbols each, whole packet is transferred simultaneously through N transmission channels, one symbol through one channel, at receiving side for each one of transferred modulation symbol packets M-dimensional vector of received signals is formed, signal transfer coefficients are evaluated between transmission and receipt channels, demodulation of estimate of each symbol of transferred packet is performed in accordance with modulation type, determining values of corresponding binary symbols as rigid estimates and trustworthiness metrics of these values as soft estimates, while total noise dispersion is estimated for M receipt channels and possible error of estimation of matrix of transfer coefficients H, a set V of vectors of transferred symbols is created, improved estimates of symbols of transferred packet are determined, demodulation of improved estimates of symbols of transferred packet is performed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of signal receipt when used in communication systems with several transmitting and receiving antennas, simplified signal receipt algorithms and simplified creation of metrics for soft decoding.
