FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: transmitted QAM symbols are periodically detected in iterative process conditions such that each iteration consists of the following successive steps: at step 1 from the vector of output readings of a MIMO channel via linear transformation, the MMSE estimate is determined for N transmitted QAM symbols based on prior parameters of the transmitted QAM symbols and already estimated matrix of the MIMO channel, noise dispersion and average signal power; step 2 involves correcting and finding a new linear estimate of the transmitted QAM symbol and the error dispersion for that estimate; step 3 involves demodulation of the estimates of the transmitted QAM symbols obtained at step 2, and calculation of posterior probabilities of the transmitted bits; step 4 involves generation of nonlinear estimates of the transmitted QAM symbols through weighted addition of values of the signal QAM constellation, where weights are determined by posterior probabilities of the transmitted bits obtained at step 3; step 5 involves comparing dispersions of estimates obtained at step 4 and 2.
EFFECT: high accuracy of signal detection in communication systems with a MIMO channel.
